Panna National Park : It is located in the Vindhya Hill range and spreads over the Panna and Chhatarpur districts in the northern part of Madhya Pradesh in India, at a distance of about 57 km from Khajuraho. Panna National Park is situated along the banks of the Ken River.
It has an area of 542.67 km2 (209.53 sq mi). Panna National Reserve was created in 1981. It was declared a Project Tiger Reserve in 1994 as the 22nd Tiger reserve of India and the 5th in Madhya Pradesh state. The Reserve consists of areas from the former Gangau Wildlife Sanctuary produced in 1975.
The area well-known for its diamond minig industries, is one of the most famed Tiger Reserves in the India and is also home to several of the greatest nature variety in India. Panna was given the Award of Excellence by the "Ministry of Tourism" of India in 2007 as the most excellent national park of India.
The park is famous in the world for its wild cats, including tigers, leopards as well as antelopes and deers. Due to its nearness to one of the well-known Indian visitor's magnetism in India, Khajuraho, the park is recognized as an exciting stop-over destination.
Tourists who visit Khajuraho, make it a point to get to the Panna National Park to see the majestic cats in the wild and visitors may also see leopard, wolf, hyena, jackal and sloth bear. The preserve is also famous for sightings of nilgai, sambar, chital, wild boar and Indian crocodile.
One of the most important ecological aspects of the Reserve is that the district Panna makes the northern most border of natural sharing of teak and the eastern limits of teak-kardhai mixed forests. Besides the wildlife watchers (around 12000 annually), Panna gets visitors (around 20000 annually) who exclusively visit the famous Pandav Fall.

Major Fauna: Mammlas : Tiger, Jungle Cat, Leopard, Hyena, Wild Dog, Wolf, Sloth Bear, Sambhar, Chital, Nilgai, Chinkara, Chausinga, Porcupine, Jungle Cat, Rusty Spotted Cat, Hare, Ratel and Tree Shrew.
Reptile : Long snouted crocodile (gharial) and Marsh Crocodile (mugger) are found in the Ken river.
