Chitrakoot : It is a city located in the Baghelkhand region of Madhya Pradesh and it is a place of holy, cultural, archaeological and historical importance. It is famous for a number of temples and sites declared in Hindu scriptures.
Several community gather here on every Deepawali, Ramanavami, Makar Sankranti, Sharad-Poornima, Amavasya and Somwati Amavasyas and are some famous events for celebrations. Noted 'Yoga' and 'Ayurvedic' centers are also situated in Chitrakoot like 'Arogyadham' centers are famous for ayurvedic treatment.
Ramghat : The Ghats that line up the Mandakini River are known as �Ramghat�. Here, amidst the mantra and the sweet fragrance of incense, holy men in saffron sit in soundless meditation or present the relief of their wisdom to the limitless pilgrims who join here. The sunset Arti here eye witnesses a deep and surviving trust in the holiness of Chitrakoot. During the exile time Ram, Lakshmana and Sita take a bath here and believed to have come into sight before the poet Tulsidas.
Janki Kund : This attractive Kund is located at a distance of about half a kilometer from the Pramod-Van, on the left bank of the Payaswini. The rocks near by bear the foot prints of Mata Janaki Ji(Sita ji). Mata Sita Ji used to bathe here through the time of her exile.
Kamadgiri : Kamadgiri is the major holy place of Chitrakoot. The Sanskrit word 'Kamadgiri' means the mountain which complete all the needs. The place is believed to have been the residence of Lord Ram, Laxman and Sita during their exile. Lord Kamtanath, another of Kamdgiri, is the main deity not only of Kamadgiri but of the entire of Chitrakoot. The religious-minded trusted that all the holy places are in the Parikrama (round) or its pilgrimage-path. The pilgrimage-path approximately this mount is about 5 Km long and there are a large number of temples in the Parikrama Path and built in 1725 by Pratap Kunwari, who is the Queen of the Bundela King Maharaja Chhatrasal.
Sati Anusuiya Ashram: Sati Anusuya ashram is situated more upstream, 16 km from the city, set amidst broad forests that surrounding to the tune of birdsong all day.
Sphatik Shila : It is a landmark destination in the holy pilgrim centre of Chitrakoot called Sphatik Shila. Where Lord Ram and his wife (Sita ji) used to sit and admire the beautiful atmosphere of the surroundings.
Hanuman Dhara : It is believed that the holy journey of Chitrakoot is incomplete without paying a visit to Hanuman Dhara. This is about 4 Km. to the east of Ramghat at the start of the Vindhyas. A stream of cool and clear water originating in the hill falls on the god of Hanuman Ji and loses itself in a kund below.
Bharat Koop : Bharat Koop is a large well near Bharatpur village, located around 20 kms West of Chitrakoot. It is believed that Lord Ram's brother Bharat brought water from all the holy places to anoint Lord Ram as the King of Ayodhya.

By Air: The nearest airport is at Khajuraho (175 km), connected with Delhi & Agra and Bhopal.
By Train : The nearest railhead is at Chitrakootdham (Karwi) (11 km) on the Jhansi-Manikpur main line.
By Road : Chitrakoot connected with Khajuraho (148km), Jhansi (287 km), Chitrakootdham (Karwi) (11 km), Mahoba (132km) by regular bus services.
